The health and well-being of our members, volunteers, employees, and golf players are our top priority, and we are closely monitoring the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in the world and our region.
While there are no known cases of infection in our region, we feel it is vital to be proactive in ensuring the our club continues to provide a clean and sanitary environment.
As the world continues to manage the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), NEDGA is looking at ways of taking a proactive approach in an attempt to limit the spread of this virus.
Some of the recommendations are:
· Avoid shaking hands
· Keep a reasonable distance from the person beside you in and around the clubhouse.
· Wash hands as often as you can for at least 20 seconds
. Putting with the flagstick in.
. Picking the bunker rake up with a gloved hand.
. Ensuring you have enough fluid to last your round
At this stage, there is no need to cancel any events scheduled in the district, however it is important to remember that close contact between members is not advised as there is a 14-day window for symptoms to appear. Health alerts are continuing to change, which may impact on the district’s golf.
Any person who has travelled overseas in the last 14 days OR is showing any signs of being unwell, this includes, but not limited to, fever, breathing difficulties such as breathlessness, mucus from the nose, coughing or sneezing, sore throat, fatigue or tiredness are asked not to attend the course.
